Americana Stage Usher
Location: Americana Stage
Description: Assist stage manager as needed daily with disabled individuals, cleaning up trash, etc. Also assist with breakdown on Sunday.
Creekside Stage Usher
Location: Creekside Stage
Description: Assist stage manager as needed daily with disabled individuals, straighten chairs, cleaning up trash, etc. Also assist with breakdown on Sunday.
Dance Stage Usher
Location: Dance Stage
Description: Keep dance floor clear of backpacks, strollers, seating audience members, etc. Assist with breakdown on Sunday afternoon.
Hillside Stage Usher
Location: Hillside Stage
Description: Assist stage manager as needed daily with disabled individuals, straighten chairs, cleaning up trash, etc. Assist with breakdown on Sunday.
Mayes Pit Stage Usher
Location: Mayes Pit
Description: Assist stage manager as needed to ensure that fire codes are followed, ensure that people do not block aisles or doorways, pick up trash, assist with load out on Sunday as needed, etc.
Traditional Stage Usher
Location: Traditional Stage
Description: Assist stage manager as needed daily with individuals with disabilities, cleaning up trash, straighten chairs, assist with breakdown on Sunday, etc.
Walker Center Usher
Location: Walker Center
Description: Ensure that fire codes are followed by monitoring doorways. Access is limited once the room is filled. Ask people not to block aisles or doorways. Food or beverages not allowed in the auditorium. Provide general information to attendee.Monitor restrooms and call custodians as needed.

Watson Stage Usher/Audience Information Tent
Location: Watson/Cabin Audience Area
Description: Answer questions and assist as necessary before 5:00 p.m. At 5:00 p.m. remove anyone who is not ticketed with a reserved seat wristband and control access for the rest of the evening.
Little Pickers
Location: Little Pickers Area
Description: Assist with securing area around activities, maintaining lines for Climbing Wall, assist with numerous sign-up's, and other assignments as necessary.
Main Entrance Greeters
Location: Shuttle Bus Drop Off - Outside Box Office Tent
Description: Provide quick guidance to new attendees looking for programs, information, or appropriate lines at the box office.
Raffle
Location: Near Caboose - In Raffle Tent
Description: Sell MerleFest raffle tickets, work with the silent auction, ensuring that all monies are accurate, tickets, funds and items are secure at all times.
Hospitality Hayes Hall
Location: 1st and 2nd Floor Hayes Hall
Description: Setup and maintain meals, snacks and beverages for Hayes Hall meal area, and for delivery per schedule to other locations. Volunteers check wristbands for access to 2nd floor.

Food Vendor Trailer
Location: Along Pond Road at IJ Refrigerated Trailer
Description: Maintain security for goods in trailer - no one to enter unless they are with IJ or a designated MerleFest food vendor.
Perimeter Security
Location: Varies
Description: Provide various wristband checks and security in areas presenting minor security risks, assist with traffic control, etc.
RV Campground
Location: On Campus RV Campground
Description: Trade parking pass and wristbands for tickets, park RV, ensure that vehicles are parked correctly and any temporarily brought in for transfer of items are moved within a reasonable period of time. Other as needed.
MerleFest Mailboxes
Location: Varies
Description: Collect messages left in the mail boxes, leaving in a central location for MerleFest staff member to distribute, and replenish supplies in the mail boxes as needed.
Relief
Location: Flattop's Getaway
Description: Assist as needed in lieu of volunteer who does not show up for shift or if something unexpected arises.
Surveys
Location: Varies
Description: Mingle with crowds and do one-on-one surveys plus assist with keying of data.
Flattop's Getaway Hospitality
Location: Flattop's Getaway
Description: Keep area clean and tidy.
Stage Crew
Location: Stages
Description: Assist as needed with the production once the festival has begun.
