Volunteering
The size, scope, and complexity of MerleFest has grown dramatically since the festival's beginning in 1988. The festival could not possibly have reached its present size without a large and dedicated group of volunteers.

MerleFest Volunteers.

Dear MerleFest Volunteers,

Thanks to all of our volunteers for MerleFest, not only for 2007 but those for the first nineteen years who were unable to return in 2007.  We welcomed our new volunteers and hope that their first participation was enjoyable and they will be returning for many years to come. Without participation from our many dedicated volunteers, MerleFest would not be possible.

We are currently updating our Volunteer Guidelines from the information we have obtained from our volunteers.  Your feedback is valuable to us.  When they are ready in the fall they will be once again active on the website.  In the meantime, feel free to send any additional suggestions you have for our volunteer program or MerleFest to me for us to consider.  We learn by listening to you.

The MerleFest Discussion Board is a good way to talk with one another or find out things for which we don’t have the exact information such as camp sites, specific volunteer experiences, etc.

Please keep us updated with any changes in address, telephone number, or email so we can maintain our contact with you.

Thank you so much for your participation and we hope to see you in 2008!
