First time volunteers must also send a $35 deposit via personal check which will be returned after successful completion of scheduled assignments. See information at end of application.

Please select the days and times you are available to work (select ALL days and times you are available): 4 day volunteers will have first priority. Shift lengths and times vary. If nothing is selected for a given day, you will be marked as 'UNAVAILABLE' for that particular day.

(Instructions) To select the time or multiple times for a day, start at the left to view your choices. Once you have highlighted your choice of time periods you are available for the day, click a button to the right to move one or more of your chosen times to the middle box titled “Times available for the day.” These will be the times we will list you as “available to work” for that day. If you have a first, second, or third preference you would like to work for any given day, highlight that time in the middle box and click the button labeled “Preferences.” You can list up to three preferences in the far right box. Arrange your choices from top to bottom using the buttons labeled “Move Up” and “Move Down” to the right of the “Preferences” box. Arrange your preferences top to bottom with the top being your first choice. Each row represents one day.

I understand that if I have never worked as a MerleFest volunteer, or failed to report to a scheduled volunteer position in previous years without notifying MerleFest, that I am to send a recent photograph and a personal check for $35 made out to MerleFest to the address below. I understand that my application will not be processed until MerleFest Volunteer Coordinator has received my volunteer deposit. This volunteer deposit will be held until the final day of my scheduled task. If all my scheduled tasks are completed successfully, I may pick up my check and volunteer gift at Flattop’s Getaway before leaving the festival grounds. If I do not pick up my check and fulfilled all my scheduled duties, the check will be destroyed.
