MerleFest 2007 will be a celebration of our 20th festival and as we look back on the amazing history of the festival, we also look forward with a goal to continually enhance the experience of our guests, volunteers, and staff. MerleFest 2007 has been planned with an emphasis on providing more green-space, an enhanced shopping experience, and a safer and more convenient festival for all. One result is The Shoppes at MerleFest, a centrally located shopping village featuring demonstrating artisans, vendors, convenience foods, official MerleFest memorabilia, and services such as the MerleFest Post Office, first aid, lost and found, and internet access. The Shoppes at MerleFest will be located in the two parking lots near the clock tower. In addition to being a central location, The Shoppes at MerleFest also creates a safer and easier entrance and exit for our nearly 80,000 participants. However, the location also displaces guests who had previously parked in this area previously known as the old Red Lot as well as other parking assignments throughout the festival grounds.
